Levester Williams' 1st place trophy for creative writing in grade school got him thinking early about writing—he felt it in his bones. One of his mother’s sayings, when he was a child, inspired him to start his series. She repeatedly told him, “When you don’t obey, bad things happen.”—A lesson you’ll find reflected in his first book, “Field Nuts.”
The exciting response from “Field Nuts” encouraged the author to write “Marcy’s Watch,” published by L. Patrick Publishing. This 34-page book is the second by Levester Williams, who continues to teach his young readers moral lessons as the main characters dodge trouble.
1. Do not take something that does not belong to you.
2. It’s good to forgive others that have done you wrong.
And now, the most recent, third book in the children’s series, titled “Fishing with Pa” is set to be released soon. It teaches young readers about consideration, sharing, and love.
To help with character building in children ages 0-8, and he intends for his books to have a positive impact on parents and kids alike. The idea behind Crunchy and Munchy came to him during a study break in college. He wrote down his thoughts, revisited them time and again, and was ultimately compelled to share his story with others. The books are appropriate for all kids; promoting honesty, respect, sensitivity, empathy, and self-awareness. The result is a children’s guide for healthy living and individual excellence.
